Today was Jordan's first day of preschool (Joy School)! He was super excited to go to school, and had his backpack all packed up and ready to go early this morning.

Christmas 2009
These are a little late, but better late than never! :)
Jordan doing his business on Christmas Eve eve. Does he ever get a break?!
Presents!
Perhaps he's still a bit tired...
This guy isn't. He didn't get it, but had a great time anyway.
What is better than a bomber jacket? A bomber jacket and no pants!
:) Good face
Merry belated Christmas!

Jakey's One Year Stats
Well, contrary to popular belief, Jakey is actually longer than Jordan was at one year old. At one year, Jordan was 29" long, and 30 pounds. Jakey boy is:
33" long -- WAY off the chart
23 pounds -- 50th percentile
So don't buy into the hype. Jakey is NOT a munchkin.

Thanksgiving 2009
This year for Thanksgiving, things didn't turn out the way we had planned. Wednesday night we were going to drive down south to be with our family, but traffic was so bad that after several hours (and very few miles) we had to just give up and turn back. So late Wednesday night, Jake went to the store to get all the supplies I would need to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Shockingly, everything I needed was in stock, and we were even able to get a fresh turkey. I guess living in a small town DOES have its benefits.
Jakey boy sure enjoyed his first Thanksgiving!
Jordan didn't make it for dinner. He fell asleep at 6 on his little couch and was done for the night. This is how he fell asleep. It was either too bright or too loud in the living room.
Hi handsome
These pictures uploaded out of order, so dessert is first. This is a red velvet cheesecake. So good!
Mashed taters
Cream corn...so delicious!
My first thanksgiving turkey. Pretty good, if I do say so myself. :)
Spinach salad
Candied sweet potatoes (I got this recipe from Ruth's Chris steak house after Jake, my mom, and I ate there for their birthdays December 2007, and it is by FAR the best sweet potato recipe there is!)
Samoan Chop Suey
Bubbly
Stuffing
So that was our Thanksgiving. It was lovely, and we had leftovers for E-V-E-R!!!!! I made an awful lot of food for only 2 people...
